Murray Bown

Murray had another Morris Eight for many years but its engine block was shot and he had started to build a new motor for it when the Morris Eight register offered this car for sale in Christchurch. It was an old family car, stored for years and eventually taken up by one of the daughters. Her husband did the bodywork and while it was still mobile it was getting tired mechanically. Murray bought it and overhauled the running gear and now you can go anywhere in it without trouble. As it was going so well Murray has had it professionally repainted and has used it regularly over the last eight years or so. The Morris is often part of the often changing exhibition housed at the Marlborough Vintage Car Club "garage" in Brayshaw Park in Blenheim.
