Our Christmas party was held on Sunday evening and attended by 18 people. Unfortunately President Sandy and George Weigel were unable to attend due to George having recently broken his hip which necessitated a stay in both Christchurch and Burwood hospitals. George is now recovering at home. We were pleased to have Vinetta White (widow of the late Ian) join in our celebration but missed the company of Ken McKenzie who has been an integral part of our group for many years. Out of town members Paula and Roy Buchanan, Helen and Don Prouting and Barbara and Paul Faulkner made respective journeys to join us.

A beautifully catered dinner of hot ham, fillet of beef, prawns, new potatoes and a variety of salads followed by an amazing selection of desserts was enjoyed by all.

Our thanks go to Beverley Clifton- Mogg who organised the event, and orchestrated two games which caused much merriment amongst the members.

Below we see the assembled masses and many of these faces will not have blessed these pages before. John Warren gets the photo credit. Someone had to push the button!
